The Arizona Cardinals on Friday signed kicker Neil Rackers to a two-year contract extension.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Since being signed on November
11, Rackers has been unspectacular, converting 7-of-10 field goals and all eight
of his extra points.
Rackers, who spent his first three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, has
made an unimpressive 51-of-77 field-goal attempts in his career.
Tied with San Diego for the NFL's worst record, the hapless Cardinals (3-12) close their season at home against Minnesota on Sunday.
Neil Rackers, Arizona's placekicker since early November, signed a two-year contract extension with the Cardinals on Friday.
Rackers, who has made seven of 10 field goals and all eight conversions, was released by Cincinnati on Sept. 1. He signed with Arizona on Nov. 11, after the team released kicker Tim Duncan.
Bill Gramatica, the Cardinals' kicker out of training camp, missed nearly all season with a back injury.
